WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 

MAIN GATE SCHEDULE

*THERE IS NO EARLY ENTRY BEFORE FRIDAY 2PM*

The gates are open:

Friday August 11, 12:00pm* (Please DO NOT arrive before as the gates will be locked)

Opening Ceremony
Friday August 11, 6:00pm

Closing
Monday August 14, 11:00am


WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • This is a camping event so you will need to provide yourself with appropriate camping shelter and gear.
  • Nights can be cold, so prepare for all weather conditions
  • We have one food vendor on site (Tea, Coffee and Snacks, meals will be available through the vendor for purchase)
  • No drinkable water on site.
CAMPING INFORMATION
  • Please provide yourself with appropriate camping shelter and gear
  • First come first serve spots for tents, trailers & RV’s -> Gate opens Friday August 11, 12:00pm
  • Pound in protruding tent pegs and flag to ensure walking safety especially at night
  • Loud speakers or renegade stages are not permitted in the campsite areas
  • Think of your surroundings at all times and love up your neighbours!
  • There is NO AMPLIFIED MUSIC allowed in the camping areas

FAMILY CAMPING

  • on the upper level to the east side of playground as this is a quieter area
  • there are no dedicated family camping sites, however the East end of the campground is quieter
CHILDREN
  • Children are most welcome at Inshala 
    • Children 12 years and under are free
    • Teens 13-17 years - $60
  • The dedicated kids’ area (Imaginala) offers workshops and activities (please check your guide)
  • A playground is next to the red cook house and one in the camping area.
  • Please be mindful of where your children are at ALL times as the area is large and the campsite boarders a river

**Inshala takes care in offering a welcoming and safe space for all attendees to freely express themselves. This includes the children.  In moving forward into Inshala 15, we are having an open dialogue with the community regarding us all taking responsibility in ensuring that respect is not only offered to each other, but all areas of the park. As organizers we request that you know where you children are at all times.

**As a parent or guardian of your child(ren), we are requesting that you have this conversation with your child. Please communicate the intentions of each space within the park.  Not all spaces are intended as a playground. We need to ensure that all of us are in the support of the well being of all aspects of the area. We thank you for taking part in this education with your children, as we all contribute to care of each other and this Camp Out <3

 

FIRES

  • fires are permitted in the fire rings only
  • wood ends are provided on site - please do not use the trees
  • if there is a fire ban, fires are not permitted 

Fire Rings

  • Do NOT move the fire rings from their original location

 

WEATHER
  • Prepare for all seasons (high winds, rain, hail, extreme heat)
  • Nights can be cold, so prepare for all weather conditions
  • Ensure all camping gear and equipment is staked down and water proofed
FOOD
You are required to bring your own food for the duration of the Camp Out. 
WATER
  • There is NO drinkable water onsite 
    • including the water pump beside the cook house
  • Bring adequate amount of water (e.g. 2L/day/person)

 

STAGES/AREAS
  • There is 1 main stage that hosts:
    • Opening & Closing Ceremony (Main Stage)
    • Music Friday, Saturday & Sunday
    • Workshops: Satruday - Inner Journeys Ecstatic Dance 11-noon and Sunday - Rhythm and Flow Reggae Yoga 11am -12pm
  • Labyrinth (in the southeast field)  
  • Playground (next to the red cook house)
  • Campground (with all the beautiful people!)
  • Old Man River

 

GARBAGE - THIS IS A LEAVE *NO* TRACE EVENT! 
***TAKE ALL YOUR GARBAGE & RECYCLING HOME WITH YOU *NO EXCEPTIONS*
  • We ask you as a participant of Inshala, that we collectively leave the land cleaner than what we arrived on.  
    • This means EVERYTHING that you bring in, take home with you!
    • All your garbage is your responsibility
    • Use the garbage bags provided from the gate
    • If you need more garbage bags, you can request for them at the gate
    • Your garbage & recycling bags go home with you!!
  • We recommend minimizing packaging before you arrive.

 

COMPOST 

  • take your compost home

 

OLD MAN RIVER
  • Depending on the spring run off and current weather conditions, the river may or may not be accessible
    • It can range from being a shallow shore for soaking to a dangerous current when entrance is not permitted
    • Please be mindful of the river conditions

PETS

  • For the safety of all, pets are NOT allowed

 

OUTHOUSES
  • Please help us by only putting what has passed through your body into the outhouses + TP provided
    • Please to not put baby wipes, cigarettes, garbage, paper towels, cans, etc down the stalls 
  • If an outhouse or hand wash stations requires assistance, please contact a festival organizer 


WHAT TO BRING:

  • Your Ticket
  • Drinking water
  • Food
  • Tent and camping supplies (remember extra blankets for the chilly evenings)
  • Tarps, chairs, coolers
  • Camp stove
  • Any decor for making your home at Inshala - love up your camp.
  • Flashlight or two (with extra batteries)
  • Clothes appropriate for all weather conditions (it can get very hot during the days, as well as chilly in the evenings)
  • Raincoat, Rubber boots, Umbrella
  • Sun tan lotion
  • Insect Repellant
  • EAR PLUGS / PROTECTORS (*Especially for your children)
  • Biodegradable soap / toiletries
  • Toilet paper
  • Garbage bags
  • Extra car keys
  • First Aid kit
  • Money (Artisan Market, Tea Lounge, Food Vendors, etc.)
  • Camera
  • Comfortable shoes for dancing
  • Tickle trunk of costumes and accessories
  • Positive Attitudes, Openness, Respect and Love


What NOT to bring:

  • No alcohol
  • No drugs
  • No weapons
  • No Animals (Dogs / Cats / Snakes / Birds, etc)
  • No fireworks
  • No Motorized ATVs
  • No renegade stages or portable car stereos with loud music during quiet hours
  • No littering
